DESCRIPTION:One proposed approach to provide energy resiliency after high-impact\, low-frequency events such as weather or security-related outages to the utility grid is to use multiple electric vehicles as energy sources for a DC microgrid. Examples include mobile field hospitals\, emergency shelters\, small campuses\, or even clusters of residential homes. However\, control of multiple DC sources in parallel using conventional methods provides inadequate performance. Researchers at FREEDM developed control techniques that result in accurate current sharing among the converters for a wide range of operating conditions. This talk by Shrivatsal Sharma\, PhD\, focuses on details of the control methodologies along with experimental validation for generic configurations of DC microgrids.

The state now ranks fifth among all states for clean energy projects in this timeframe.  In addition\, Georgia and South Carolina have now announced a combined 53 projects worth $30 billion dollars. \n\n\n\nBut that is just the start. \n\n\n\nPlease join E2\, Lucas Tax\, Crux and the NC Department of Commerce to learn more about how your business can benefit from these direct investments and the incentives and tax credits enabled by this game changing legislation. \n\n\n\nWe’ll hear directly from Jennifer Mundt\, NC Governor’s Clean Energy Economic Development lead. Randy Lucas\, a NC-based clean technology tax expert\, will discuss how to access available program incentives and James Turnbull\, Market and Transaction Principal at Crux will explain the mechanics of how to take advantage of the IRA’s valuable tax credit transfer provision. Locke Raper\, E2 consultant and a long-time sustainability and conservation advocate will moderate the discussion.
