The Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster (RTCC), along with community partners Capital Area Workforce Development Board and Work in the Triangle, will host the first annual Cleantech Connect Career Fair on April 21, 2016 from 3:00 pm – 5:00pm at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh, NC.
The Job Fair will be co-located at the 2016 State Energy Conference of North Carolina, a two-day, state-wide energy and technology conference with over 700 attendees.
“RTCC is committed to helping connect the area’s talent pool with employers,” said Jenn Bosser, Executive Director of RTCC. “There are 350+ cleantech companies in the Region, and the cluster is well positioned to grow over the next several years.”
RTCC released a talent survey in the fall of 2015, and 80% of the 120 companies who completed the survey said they planned to hire over the next two years for a combined total of 3,000 new jobs.
Companies confirmed for the career fair include ABB, Dude Solutions, Duke Energy, Itron, MasTec, NC Electric Membership Corporation, Power Analytics, Schneider Electric, Sensus, Timely Text, and others, representing jobs in the following skills areas and beyond: software programmers, data analysts, and sales engineers.
“The Cleantech Career Fair is an excellent opportunity to cultivate relationships with some of the area’s brightest job seekers,” said Sensus Staffing Manager, Beth Mussari. “We are committed to hiring talented individuals who can help us deliver technology solutions that improve the quality of life in our communities.”
Employers participating in the Job Fair will also receive special promotion of their job opportunities via RTCC’s Cleantech Career Page and on Twitter via @TriCleantech and @WorkTriangleNC hashtag #CleantechCareer to reach job seekers from outside of the region.
Openings still remain for employers that wish to participate, but space is limited. The Job Fair is free to all job seekers.
