Research Triangle Region, N.C. - SAS co-founder and CEO Dr. Jim Goodnight, OSIsoft founder and CEO Patrick Kennedy and U.S. Rep. David Price (D-N.C.) will be among key speakers at the inaugural Energy Thought Summit (ETS@researchtriangle) Nov. 12 in Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Performing Arts Center in Raleigh, N.C.
They are among 40 top executives and thought leaders from across the nation who will examine the state and future of energy at the summit, coordinated by the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster (RTCC) with Zpryme.

Research Triangle Region, N.C. - Smart grid member companies from the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster asked U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC-02) Friday to promote a comprehensive energy approach that supports domestic production of both renewable and fossil fuel resources to help the nation achieve energy independence.
Ellmers, whose district includes many Research Triangle Region counties, requested a briefing on the region’s smart grid cluster following her September launch of a bipartisan Grid Innovation Caucus in the House of Representatives with U.S. Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA-09).

State University. This innovative collaboration of business, government and academic research focuses on positioning the Research Triangle Region as a world-leading hub in the rapidly growing markets of smart energy, smart water and advanced transportation. The meeting brought together over 150 industry leaders to discuss the future of clean technology in the Triangle and beyond, one day ahead of President Barack Obama’s announcement that Raleigh was chosen as the site of the Next Generation Power Electronics Institute.
