RTCC's Jenn Bosser Moderates Organization of Women in International Trade Panel

On October 28, RTCC Executive Director Jenn Bosser moderated a panel for the Organization of Women in International Trade-Greater Triangle, NC focused on how regional academic institutions are attracting, inspiring and training a global-ready workforce.  

Featured speakers included Judith Cone, Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Interim Vice Chancellor for Commercialization & Economic Development at UNC Chapel Hill, Marilyn Terrill, Department Head of Business Administration, Wake Tech Community College and Yvonne Coston, Ph.D, Provost, St. Augustine's University. Discussions highlighted how curriculums have evolved to meet students' expectations for their learning experience and how students were being prepared for the jobs of today and the future. Panelists also focused on what awareness students have regarding job opportunities with global companies in the Triangle and the type of engagement and student/employer partnerships the institutions have with employers to connect students with job opportunities locally.
