Energy Thought Leaders Discuss Future of Energy at ETS@ResearchTriangle Nov.12

Research Triangle Region, N.C. – More than 40 top energy executives and thought leaders will discuss the state and future of energy at the inaugural Energy Thought Summit (ETS@researchtriangle) Nov. 12 at Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh, N.C.

ETS@researchtriangle, sponsored by Duke Energy and Zpryme, will feature keynote addresses and panel discussions focused on key sector topics: Grid of the Future, Consumer Engagement, Research Triangle Energy Ecosystem, Education on Energy, Big Data & Analytics and New Energy Ventures. Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster (RTCC) is organizing the event.

Speakers include executives from many RTCC member companies, including ABB, Duke Energy, OSIsoft and Schneider Electric, as well as other market leaders, such as Cree and Red Hat.

"This summit creates a unique forum highlighting the most intriguing debates in the energy sector," said Paul Newton, Duke Energy state president for North Carolina. "Bringing this event to the Triangle is an opportunity to showcase the incredible innovation and thought leadership evolving here in North Carolina. We look forward to working with our industry partners across the region to present an event that will further define North Carolina’s role as an energy leader.”

Lee Anne Nance, RTCC managing director and executive vice president of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, said companies working in the energy space can gain valuable insights into sector growth opportunities by attending the summit.

“With $1.5 trillion in smart grid infrastructure upgrades expected by global utility companies alone in the next five years, enormous business potential exists for companies who work along the entire smart energy value chain," Nance said.

Thierry Godart, Schneider Electric Utility Segment president, said: "This event will provide energy thought leaders an opportunity to converse, learn and develop innovative ideas around the rapidly evolving energy market and the factors that will shape the future of the industry. Schneider Electric is thrilled to be involved in this event and in the conversations that will help energy industry professionals move towards adapting to the new energy paradigm."

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. The program begins at 8 a.m. and ends with music and networking from 6-8 p.m.

Tickets are $555 for in-state and $655 for out-of-state attendees. Discounted tickets at $155 are available for government, academic, NGO and utility sector attendees.
